Permitting a cellar job leading to documentatation/inspections of other areas?

Hi, We need to replace a structural beam in our cellar. We are considering digging down to get more ceiling height and putting in a concrete floor at the same time. We would be planing to do this with all proper plans & permits. Our house currently has no C of O or configuration on file. Will having this work done in the cellar risk doing either of these two things: 1\. Will a configuration for the rest of the house be put on file? If we are not altering anything? 2\. Will there be inspections of any other part of the house? Thank you!

Filing for the Increase in cellar height could be done as an Directive 14 Alt-2 application, which will not require DoB inspections, but rather only special inspections and then the sign off by the applicant..either architect or engineer. Assuming your sanitary lines are above grade, the only plumbing work would be tying in a sump-pump/sewage ejector. I don’t see how this would affect the status on the rest of the home.
