Looking for recommendations for general contractors specializing in Brownstone renovation.

Landmark building in Fort Greene looking to renovate and restore interior hallway and 2 floors above. Large amount of plaster work and paint stripping and refinishing needed. Also electrical work. This project could also include structural renovation for entire side building as well. Large job. Any recommendations would be great.

Do you have plans? permits? Did you clear landmarks? If yes, you probably had an architect along the way. He’d be your best source for this information, and whoever contractor you select they will need the detailed dicumentation to give you a valid price, so you can avoid change orders when construction starts

They were always on time and Peter is very knowledgable. What impressed me the most was that he gave us options and didn’t try to push for things that might be easier for him to do. I would recommend CRJ home improvement. Ask for Relva. His number is 347-715-5956\. His pricing is great and he is good to work with. I am not sure how he is with structural work. You should probably break up your job and get people who specialize. Get a strutural person and then find an interior person.

We only work with Mike Sheehan after having tried others. He’s the only one that I trust with my keys knowing that I will come home to a clean home, nothing out of place and he’s quite reasonable compared to other quotes we’ve gotten.
