Custom Wood Storm Door

Any first hand recommendations on someone (or specific Millworks) who will make and install a custom wood outer storm door?

Sorry it took a while to respond, been away. The doorway measures around 38″ wide, and 85.5″ tall. Dave, you’re right – there are places that can order one a little larger than we need…what I lack is a person who can cut it to fit and install it. Any first hand recommendations on someone who would install?

You still didn’t answer my question about the size. Most lumber yards (Dykes) carry or can order wooden freamed screen doors that can easily but cut to fit.

The top of the doorway is not plum – really slants at an angle. Neither Home Depot nor Lowe’s would touch it, as they offer metal doors only and said it must fit a true rectangle at the top. They suggested finding someone who could build a wood frame for a wood door that fits the opening. This is not something I could do myself – need a carpenter and/or millworks!

What size are you talking about? Oftentimes standard sized storms can be easily reworked and fitted without the full expense of a custom door.
