contractor or engineer advice for bumps in floor / termites

I bought a 3-story brownstone six months ago and recently realized that the joists on one side of the house were pretty eaten out by termites (i’d known this, but didn’t realize the extent of the problem) Now i’ve also noticed a couple bumps in my garden-level floor right above the center beam in the basement (also on the second floor, though in a slightly different spot), which have begun to concern me A few questions -am i right to be concerned? does this sound urgent or just something to get looked at in the next year or so? -should i have this looked at by a structural engineer (who i presume would charge me), or by a contractor (who i would presume would give me a free estimate)? -any suggestions for either? -assuming whatever work is needed involves sistering the joists in the basement, what’s a ballpark cost? any help would be appreciated!
