Cheap Countertops

Any suggestions for a place where I can get quartz or granite countertops for under $40 a sq ft, including installation?  Thanks!

I don’t remember the cost, but Acme Marble somewhere near 17th and 3rd Ave (can’t remember for sure) had a lot of large remnants from other jobs and the prices didn’t seem bad back when I was looking.  They had a lot of variety and were pretty nice to work with.

When I was having my rental done, I looked at a lot of places in Williamsburgh (we wanted to get a beetter price and product [and timeline] than we felt HD could give us) – I went over and walked around and found a number of countertop places in the vicinity. The best was a little place that gave me a good price on a piece of marble that was “extra”. I believe I paid about $30 a sq. ft. Their cutting and installation was included which made them far and away the best deal I could find. On top of that the proprietor, Chris, was very helpful and customer-oriented. They are called White Stone. Ask for Chris. I seem to recall that they close at 1130 on Sat., and are not open on Sun.
