Anyone have a maitenance agreement for their HVAC system?

 I had a traditional HVAC and two “mr slim” style Daikin units installed as part of a gut renovation last year and the guy who did the work is asking $1000 per year as a maintenance agreement.  Just wanted to see how common this may or may not be.

Most companies will offer (if you ask) a per visit fee. if you have them come only twice a year, it often works out much less. the larger contract is good if you need frequent service. Try A & W cooling 718 965 0100, Walter and Steve are great…

I currently have a mainenance agreement with ALL H.V.A.C. (they installed our new system back in ’04) and have remained happy with them throughout. Price differs depending on the system. When you ask around, be specific about exactly what you have. We have 2 Carrier furnaces, 2 A/C cooling coils & 2 condensors and 2 humidifiers. They come twice a year for a thorough check, and are here immediately whenever we have a problem. We pay $500.

I used to have a maintenance agreement with All H.V.A.C. – when I lived in a condo.  I was very satisfied with their service.  its quite normal to have a service contract for heating and cooling systems.  I can’t comment on the price but I think you should call All H.V.A.C. for a quote so that you have a point of comparison.
