6\. South Oxford St.

So after reading a previous post, I’m sure some of you are well aware of 6 S. Oxford St. in Fort Greene. After doing some investigating, the owners are ‘supposedly’ now closing in on the Certificate of Non-Harassment and it “should be delivered within the next 2 months”. This question/topic is really just discussing a HYPOTHETICAL scenario. Let’s say the certificate was delivered, AND financing was not the issue… What are the current roadblocks that would STOP a renovation (full scale) from happening in a timely manner? Considering it’s n SRO on the DOB website and it’s listed as a multi-family on every other public listing. Would it be possible to just start demo & small scale to get things rolling while waiting to acquire everything else?

DOB, DOF and DHCR are all that really matter. Listings dont matter. Considering that place is not livable, once you close on the building and got the appropriate work permits you should be ready to go.
