203k Renovation - General Contractor

After almost a year of searching, I finally found a great property and am in the final stretch of closing! The place needs a little bit of work, so I am using the 203k process. To finally sign on the dotted line, I am looking for a qualified general contractor willing to do the 203k renovations. I already had the 203k Consultant Write-up, appraisal, etc., just need someone willing to do the work. I have been browsing the brownstoner forum looking for recommendations, but everything related to 203k contractors is a little stale. I have heard that quite a lot of subcontractors have been too busy to deal with this kind of thing since Hurrican Sandy. I was supposed to close in November, but everything got pushed back. So if anyone has suggestions for a GC, please let me know! Thanks in advance

I second the Constantine recommendation. I almost purchased a house earlier this year and called him. He was very responive and not pushy. Other contractors I talked to were heavy handed. In the end the deal fell through but I liked the level of professional from Constantine. I’m still looking and if I do close on something he will be one of the first peopel I call.

I’m a GC and I have been having a huge problem with sub contractors in the few weeks. I’m renovating a brownstone right now. I would consider doing a 203k. If you like you could stop by the one we are renovating now and see progress.
