Slate Mantle for sale $350

Slate mantle (painted), but green slate underneath.  Relatively easy stripping job.  I bought numerous mantles trying to decide what I wanted to go with, the final decision has been made, so now this one has gotta go.  Dimensions of the opening are 33″ square (normally you would build out the firebox and make up the difference with tile, or small strips of slate, most brooklyn chimneys aren’t going to be able to handle the correct flue size for that big of an opening).  The mantle stands about 45″ tall, is 56″ across and the shelf is 9″ deep.  The pilasters stand about 3 1/2″ out from the wall.  Eastlake style, so probably 1870-90\.  Located in Carroll Gardens, sorry no pictures yet, I’m working on it.  Contact me if interested at BDW13@aol.com

No, since they were painted black, the pictures just look like a dark rectangle, you can’t see any detail. Probably with more photography skill and a better camera I could do something, but I have neither. The best bet if you are really interested would be if you are in Carroll Gardens to stop by and see them in person.  Sorry.

PS- I’m also open to trades for architectural salvage as I’m in the middle of a gut renovation.
