Doors & Radiators for Sale By a Church

Hello brownstoners: I have been contacted by a church outside of the city about a large selection of doors which they were hoping I would buy from them. I cannot warehouse these so I have advised them to try some other avenues and have told them I would put a post up here: from my conversation, I think they have about 30 doors which have 5 horizontal panels. most are 30″ wide and 84″ tall. some are 96″ tall. the man who contacted me thinks they are mahogany (painted over). initially these folks thought they would sell the entire lot. I have advised them that they will not get what they think for them and suggested they onesy, twosy them on here and craigslist. my understanding is that there is some stained glass there as well. and cast iron radiators with scroll work on them. I am not interested on making any money on any of this. I am not releasing the church’s name yet as I am going to go there in the next day or so and see about buying some hinges (which i will GIVE away in conjunction with my door restoration work). after I have what I want, I will release the contact for these folks here. the man has also said there are mahogany moldings, etc. I have told him they are hard to remove with cracking them, but he is hoping to sell what he can to benefit the church. there may be a newell post and some railings. If anyone wishes me to look for anything whilst i am there – or check door or radiator sizes, let me know here. Once I have been there, i will come back with a better sense of what is there and will post it here with some contact info. Steve
