Backyard sink- will cast iron or earthenware hold up well?

I’m finally getting around to finishing off our backyard and I wanted to put in a backyard utility sink near where the hose is installed. I was looking at some of those old vintage utility / farm sinks. Some are cast iron and some are earthenware. Anyone have any opinion on how well either of these materials will hold up in outdoors and heat/rain/snow/cold of Brooklyn?
