New gas Stove

I was wondering is my gas pipe was up to date in NYC code . I’m in the process to install a new gas stove for my rental apt . Thanks

I’m changing the flexible part. Apparently it have to change every 5 to 10 years, last time that i did change it was about 9 years ago. What he said was i need to have a new gas connection up to code . I text the plumber a picture of the gas valve 3 days and i haven’t received any reply yet . But i’m placing a new flexible part . There is no leak what so ever , i’m updating my renta apartment with a new stainless gas range stove.

Just to be sure spray a dish detergent/water solution on the connections. If there are no bubbles forming you are good to go. If it bubbles, shut it off!

Even if the flexible part does fit [which is likely]it’s common sense to replace it. Those things are both expendable and fairly cheap.
