Need inexpensive parking options for one month only - not ongoing

I’m looking for an inexpensive place to park my car safely for one month only.
Outdoors is fine.  I normally ask friends to move it for street cleaning when I’m away
a week or two,  but a month’s a lot to ask.  Suggestions on the least expensive garages
in Bklyn/Queens, or anywhere easily accessible by public transportation would be appreciated.

Ditmas park is best for this – lots of driveways right off the Q.  Post on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/flatbushfamilynetwork/

I’ve parked at the outdoors lot at 166 Myrtle for years without any problems. They have someone there keeping an eye on things 24/7\. It’s $175 a month and 5 min walk from Jay St./Metro Tech stop.

Some neighborhoods in Queens don’t have ANY alternate side parking regulations.  I’ve left my car in the Ozone Park neighborhood for 2.5 weeks when going out of town.  Granted, I was able to park it next to someone’s house that I knew so they could keep their eye on it.  But I would suggest talking to people you know to see if they live in such a neighborhood.
