Looking for a ductless mini split system

I currently live in a 15′ wide row house. I’m looking for a minisplit system for 2 floors. Both floors are open plans. The ground floor is a living room and kitchen with no dividers. The 2nd floor is a single room open basement. Someone gave me quote on a Midea system. $5500 for a 36,000 btu compressor and 3 heads. I’m unfamiliar with his brand and hesitant to use chinese products. Can someone offer me some advice or experience with this. Any recommendations on a good reliable product that wont cost me an arm and a leg? Thank you

Love the analogy. I’m leaning towards Fujitsu or Mitsubishi. Anyone have experience with LG or samsung? Thanks

The Mitsubishi systems we are certified to install would cost at a minimum 2x that to purchase and install. Why? Quality. It’s the difference between a Yugo and a BMW. I’m unfamiliar with the Midea brand and the price seems good for the size of the system, but I just had 2 separate Fugistsu units installed, one wall mounted and the other in the ceiling and am happy and pretty impressed so far. Worth considering this brand I think, they’re well-known/familiar and competitively priced.
