Latest post on top....
Can the forum be fixed so that a topic moves up to show the latest post on a given topic? Quite frustrating to have to scroll down a few days to the latest post. My impression was that most forums have a ‘latest post’ order on threads…not so here

I have to say I agree with Cate on the forum format. If you posted the query or have an interest in it, it is easiest to follow if it holds its place in the queue. While the forum can be entertaining, its purpose is getting advice to those who need it. But allowing threads to leapfrog would cause queries with less activity to disappear a lot sooner, perhaps depriving the poster of advise that might otherwise have been forthcoming. Let every query have its day in the sun. I would not mess with it except to allow a few more threads on the first page before they scroll into oblivion.

Cate, that is like saying ‘we believe the earth to be flat’…latest comment on a thread is much better as it keeps the relevant/interesting thread on top…until it becomes less interesting/relevant and the it moves down, etc….easy fix – unless the king/queen must insist that the earth is flat (not oblong)…

a blog has the latest story on top, oldest on the bottom – sure – no one will disagree with you there. but a reply on an old thread in a forum usually bumps it to the top. this is just constructive feedback and would make the forum much easier to use and navigate.
