Is Fort Greene a dirty area?

I’ve been walking around Ft.Greene this morning, trying to decide to which BK neighborhood we will move this summer. I’ve found Ft. Greene to be great, with plenty of beautiful leafy streets and some really nice architecture. However, the area was quite dirty, with quite a lot of trash strewn on the sides of the streets; this has shocked me, specially when compared to the clean neighboring areas (such as Park Slope). Is it usually like that?

Since they decided that they wanted fewer street cleaning (alternate side parking days) yes it has gotten much dirtier than it ever used to be. It is a shame, because otherwise it is a lovely neighborhood….I think the powers that be should restore more street cleaning days.
