I suggest you to use the Wood Boiler Service from a Company, Australia. Wood fired boilers are boilers that burn wood to use as it’s main source of fuel. Many industries require the use of wood fired boilers during their day to day processes. The lumber industry is just one of many that utilise wood waste boilers as an important part of their operations. Like other boilers, the purpose of a wood fired boiler is to heat water or fluid. The vaporised or heated fluid is then used for a range of things including heating, power-generation, sanitation and much more. The liquid or water does not always need to reach boiling point.

First of all you are nuts to let a “builder” make these choices… you need someone competent to determine how many btus you need to heat the building given the site conditions (exposure, insulation, fenestration, etc.) Usually this is an engineer’s job. That said, you do not pik radiation type by aesthetics, but by demand load…floor pans may be insufficient to heat a room. Get a competent engineer on board, and do not use an architect affiliated with your contractor.

Mykonos, you paid your builder for architectural services? and noone specifies your system? Doesn’t make sense. Usually that’s specified and filed by a mechanical engineer. And if you paid someone to install a system that’s not specified you are in trouble because every system is different and labor intensity varies greatly

Good morning. Water based heat…gas fired boiler. My purchase price includes all of those architectural services provided by builder. That’s why I’m seeking independent advice. Thanks again very much.

Mykonos, you’re all over the place with this. There’s a lot to consider before equipment can be specified. You don’t even know if you want water-based heat or forced air. Don’t you have an architect for your gut reno project?

Thanks for your reply. No…it is currently being gut renovated …into a raw space. All electric, plumbing , windows, floors, etc will be replaced new. 3600 sq ft…4 floors. Triplex for me and garden floor apt for mom. Each floor to have separate zone. Need advice on type of heat ( gas fired boiler/manufacturer/model) and separate a/c….Mitsubishi mini in each room? Also cast iron radiators or heat coming out of floor grates (less obtrusive than cast iron radiators in each room…yes?) Thank you very, very much for your advice. Greatly appreciated.

Is it already renovated? What type of system is currently in place, steam or hydronic? Last question: What is the level of insulation? REALLY well insulated or just kinda sorta insulated?
