It can go either way. DOB tends to constantly be discovering ways to make things take longer and longer. Be prepared to be patient. Good luck. jcarch ———————— James Cleary Architecture brownstoner.staging.wpengine.com/jamescleary

Thanks Jcarch, once these tasks are completed will the building pass or is there a chance that the inspector will find more violations during the follow-up inspection?

FRSC (or FPSC) means fire proof self closing door. Your DOB approved plans should have a note saying something like “36” wide 3/4 hour rated FPSC door”. Keep in mind that for the rating, that the door and the frame together get the fire rating, and that there should be a metal tag – usually on the hinge side door jamb, stating what the rating is. Looks like you need the right doors in the cellar boiler room, gas meter and electrical meter rooms/closets, and at the apartment doors at all floors. SD/CM is smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector. This will likely have to be hardwired, rather than battery powered, to meet code/inspection. I’m not sure what RECLING is…I’m guessing this is a typo, and the inspector meant “railing”. jcarch ———————— James Cleary Architecture brownstoner.staging.wpengine.com/jamescleary
