Ekram at Innovation Construction Co. worked over at my house located on Boerum Hill. I live at a historic Landmark location. His scope of work for this project included re-painting the facade lintels and cornice and restoring the stoop. He pulled out the permit, and completed all necessary paperwork for approval by Landmark Preservation Commission following all guidelines and requirements. This wasn’t the first time I used Ekram, he completed more projects in the past. Working with him is always a pleasure. If you would like to see the outcome, come by the corner of Wyckoff and Bond street, its the last building in the block with the bright RED DOOR! Can’t miss it!

Early Spring this year, I used Innovation, to complete a brownstone stoop restoration, and cornice re-painting and I have to say my experience differs from the above. I received multiple quotes, Innovation was mid-range in price, why I choose them? Saw previous projects (did an amazing job), reviews, and feedback was one of the best. My experience? They did a phenomenal job, my steps receive numerous comments on a daily basis and cornice was neatly re-painted. I have recommended them to others and received positive feedback as well.

We used Innovation to repair some cracks in our brownstone facade. Although I knew ahead of time that the color of the new brownstone would not be an exact match with the old, I am disappointed at how drastic the difference is. I think if I had used someone else they could have gotten a better match, but you get what you pay for and Innovation was the lowest bid. On the other hand, I spoke to several of their references and looked at some of their past work (mostly stoops) and the references were very positive and the work I saw was very good. So, maybe color matching just isn’t their thing.
