Yup, we’ve gone to them in Brooklyn. You put your name on a list and get 20 minutes or so one on one with a plan examiner.

Yes, I have gone to the one in Manhattan once or twice. Don’t expect any revelations though. It is good for basic questions and by-the-book answers.
