Co inspection

Anyone have experience or know how long it takes to get an inspector to a building after the co application is file? Also, if passed, how long it takes to finalize and obtain a co?

How is this filed? Was it part of a renovation or were you just obtaining a C of O? When obtaining a new C of O as part of a renovation, the DOB performs a construction inspection at the end of the job, when the work is almost entirely complete. The contractor or expediter generally schedule it, which may take one or two weeks from the time they request it. If all passes, then there’s some paperwork to finish up (quantity and timing depending upon the work). Once all the paperwork is done, the expediter files a C of O request, which generally takes 4-8 weeks depending upon how busy the DOB is.
