boiler room window requirements ?

I have 2 windows in my boiler room that I would like to replace (6 family house). They both measure about 25 inches square. Are there any special requirements for these windows. Do they have to be louver windows? or can i just get dead windows (they don’t open)? I currently have dead windows that have been broken for a long time and stuffed with insulation. Thanks in advance.
