backyard stormdoor alterations

We have stormdoor access from the basement to our backyard. We’d like to dig it out and make it a normal door. This would require a lot of cement work, as there is a concrete deck above. has anyone out there attempted such a thing?

It does sound like a lot of work huh? I would suggest that you remove all your items from your basement or at least put everything into packing boxes away from where you’re going to be doing all the digging and the work so that your stuff in there keeps safe. You can perhaps look at creating a stairway inside leading to the stormdoor stead of ripping everything up too. Hope that helps!
