American Water Resources

I have read the postings from 2013, but am wondering if anyone has successfully used the Sewer Line Protection Program Insurance being marketed via NYCEP mailings in recent time? The list of “not covered” is very extensive, and seems as though they can argue no coverage for just about anything. Any first hand experience?

My neighbor’s claim was processed without a hitch. They arranged for a contractor to do the work, even paid the overtime to get it done over a weekend. Saved him a LOT of money and never saw a bill. The only issue was he had to pay to have the dug-up square of concrete by his stoop replaced. What exclusions have been causing denial of coverage?
