Three years ago I bought new appliances for a renovated brownstone. I had done my research and thought I found some decent mid-range appliances. Since then, the OTR microwave (LG) died and was replaced, the washing machine (Kenmore Elite) was totally rebuilt (under warranty), and the 30″ Whirlpool gas range had the computer touch-pad replaced…
lol... since you don't fry, steam, or presumably, cook much, it will definitely perform better than no hood at all.
Hood Size vs StoveWe take client height into consideration during install. We adjusted an island exhaust up for a tall client, and there was no notable difference in its performance. 940 CFM is moving a lot of air quickly.
Dilemma w/ hood installationI prefer cannister vacuums because we have oriental rugs which shouldn't be cleaned with a revolving brush, found on uprights. We keep an inexpensive Eureka downstairs and a far more costly Electrolux upstairs. They're about equal in cleaning power. The Eurekas sell for under $100.
Vacuum Cleaner for House Cleaning>We have to get rid of it No you don't; any designer worth his salt could incorporate these. Only in the US would anyone throw out brand new super expensive appliances. Sad.
