I’m replacing 4 curved windows with Kolbe windows. The contractor says that Kolbe can’t put sash lifts on curved windows, and recommended having Kolbe cut a handhold across the bottom sash. I think sash lifts/handles might look better. Any suggestions or advice?

  1. I work for Kolbe and you can apply sash lifts to those types of units. The only thing to consider is that we may choose to send them separately and have the builder apply them. This is to avoid any shipping damage due to them sticking out from the unit.

  2. I have a couple of windows w/ carved handholds & found them difficult to use so added lifts – there are some quite nice ones in Renovator’s Supply.
