I’m selling three white marble mantels, originally from a house in Prospect Heights and currently residing in storage in my basement in Cobble Hill. Two of the mantels are simple pieces, with triangular carved sides and scrolled keystones. The sides measure 45″ high to the bottom of the mantel shelf. The shelf itself measures 64″ wide by 11″ deep. The mantels were removed with care and are stored flat. One set has some cracks, the other is intact.

The third mantel is a massive, gorgeous piece that would probably do best in a larger-scale brownstone. The top shelf measures 62″ wide by 20″ deep. The front is elaborately carved, with a keystone featuring a bunch of grapes and a dove.

All include metal front grates.

  1. Manny Lasalle buys mantels. He is a fireplace specialist and buys/sells fireplace mantels in addition to providing an array of fireplace-related services. His number is 917-292-1825. I am his big fan as are many brownstoners.

  2. I can email some photos if you’d like. The mantels are in separate pieces — shelf, side panels, trim, etc. Also have the arched metal grates. You can reach me at gillbk3 at aol.
