Looking for someone to come haul off some of our initial rehab debris. We wIll have the contractor haul off the stuff they remove, but so far we have taken down lots of paneling, torn out some shelving from closets, a few hollow core doors, some old paneling that was stored in the basement, etc. Nothing worth saving. At this point I don’t see the need for a dumpster since the contractor will do that for the major plaster and stud stuff, but have quite a pile of trim pieces (mostly plain jane modern cheap stuff – nothing detailed), doors, and paneling I need hauled off – more than I would want to cut up, bundle, and put on the curb. Any recommendations?

  1. Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll call later in the week and see which will be best. Every day the pile grows larger. Old paneling and wood scrap stacked up everywhere. If I were back in the south it would be bonfire in the back yard time and would be over and done with in one afternoon 🙂

  2. getting a dumpster (from Z-best) will be WAY less expensive than paying a guy for even a small amount. I had them drop a small dumpster and pick it up the next day. Best, easiest and least expensive solution.

  3. I had some mixed construction rubble (broken bricks, concrete, some metal) removed from my backyard last week by Just Rubbish–646-371-2167. they called ahead several times that AM to make sure timing still worked, did the work without complaint and I thought the price was totally fair. sounds like you’re looking to get rid of more stuff than I did, but I would at least have them give you an estimate. I’ve used 1-800 got junk recently too bc it was so easy to use their on-line scheduling system, but they were way more expensive and I wouldn’t use them again. good luck!

  4. We used Cleanout Express (cleanoutexpress.com). Fast, unbelievably hard-working, decent pricing.

  5. There’s a guy named Rainbow you can Google – just ride herd on him since he over-enthuses at times.
