We used Joey at Kaufman Iron Works. His # is: 718-991-5400.
They were great. We had two sets of bars installed, and one set removed.
Our next door neighbor also used Joey and was happy with his work.

Vinny’s iron works in CG. Jimmy is the foreman. Pretty much as you described. Getting follow-up in that business seems pretty tough when they get busy, but Jimmy came through for us recently. The owner has an italian accent, Jiimmy a spanish one so it can sometimes be confusing when you call. They do have a showroom of sorts with salvaged doors, not sure about window guards.
