I am about to install a Geberit in wall carrier for a wall hung toilet.
The model that the vendor has in stock is made for prewall or under a window sill application.
Anyone knows if this is ok or if’t going to create a problem?
I would really appreciate suggestions,
thanks

  1. Mhome, the link that you sent looks just like the model that we always install (inside of a 2″ X 6″ wall). We’ve never had to concern ourselves with a low wall type or had to request it, sorry. The only different models that I am aware of would be of a type that can be installed outside of the all and have a shelf or ledge built above it.

  2. I’m sorry that I can’t answer your question but I do have a Geberit in-wall and I’m not in love with it. It has a very loud flush and the Number 1 flush sometimes has to be pushed twice. The whole thing cost a fortune to save us 5 inches in depth in a very tight powder room. You probably know what you’re getting, and why, but if you hadn’t had one before I just wanted to give you a heads up. In that tiny room, it is helpful to be able to vac right under the toilet. Best of luck with your project.

  3. What do you mean by create a problem? These toilets are really cool and work very well. My brother installed one in his own home about 8 years ago and it’s still working great. The flushing mechanism is really fun cause it’s mounted on the wall. You can also install the flusher remotely, I told him to install it outside of the Bathroom and flush it when someone is in there. He chose the high road and didn’t do it….oh well. Just make sure that the person installing the carrier installs it at the correct height. You must know your finished floor height and READ the installation instructions carefully.
