I really need a facade restoration for my brownstone 3 family house located in Carroll Gardens. Two of my friends have had work done by Edson Usa and I wanted to know if any other person on this site has had past experience with them. I plan on calling for an estimate some time next week, so feedback is highly appreciated.
Anyone have any updates on this thread? Jose’s ph#? Did you pick a contracter? We too have a painted facade that needs reno, starting the estimate process, thanks.
KAS 93, what did you think of Edson’s price quote? I’m told they are very expensive. I’m wondering if they are really worth it or not. Thoughts on this?
Does anybody know someone who does work of comparable quality at a more reasonable price?
Just to update you guys, I called Edson this past Monday and asked for an estimate. Angelo came to my house the next day with his supervisor Montero, I am expecting an estimate from them by Monday next week. I will keep you updated regarding the price quote. *Fexleycb, I will make sure to take a drive around brooklyn tech in May to check out Jose’s work as well.
Try Artistic Wood Crafts — they do lots of this type of work and I have had good experiences with them. Small shop at the Brooklyn Nave Yard that you can visit. Call Omar at 646-541-3409 — web site is http://artisticwoodcrafts.blogspot.com/

Montero was the forman on my job too. It would be good if he were still working there but it was really Angelo and Steve who set the standards. Since the business was sold recently, I would be cautious.
Jose spends winters in Spain as its too cold in NY to do facade work between October and March. Anyone who has used him can attest to the superior quality of his work. I’ve been observing facade jobs for decades and as far as I can tell he’s the best person working in Brooklyn. Strangely with facade work there seems to be no direct correlation between quality of workmanship and price. He’s by no means the most expensive. Not even close. He’ll be doing the final coat on my building in April or May. If you stop by South Elliott accross from Brooklyn Tech while he’s there you can catch him in action. Mine is the third house on this block he’s done.
Park Slope Brownstone is very good, too. VinRoy Barronette.
