The regular bouts of hurricane force winds have done a number on the aluminum siding on my house in Williamsburg. I need a handyman with a 40 foot ladder to deal with some pieces of siding that have come unstuck. It’s a simple, fast job. Any recommendations?

  1. I have to agree with “master electrician” , I run a handyman ( http://notjusthandymen.com ) company. I happen to have on staff a contractor that used to do vinyl siding but at 40′ and being aluminum (meaning needing a sheet metal break) this job may be over our head, pun intended. I think part of being a good service is knowing when are “of service” to your clients. “burpgun” I suggest you go to a full-time siding company. If you would like me to check in with Ed I can get the two of you in touch.

  2. NOTHING IS SIMPLE AT 40′ IN THE AIR! I WOULD THINK JUST GETTING THE LADDER INTO POSITION MAY TAKE TWO STRONG PEOPLE. GET ESTIMATES FROM A FEW SIDING CONTRACTORS, YOUR JOB MAY BE MORE THAN JUST HAMMERING A FEW NAILS. ALUMINUM SIDING IS USUALLY LOCKED TOGETHER AS THE ROWS ADVANCE VERTICALLY.
    GOOD LUCK
