I am looking for other quotes, alternative products, past experience. Also, can someone suggest a A/C contractor? Thank you.

Installed and serviced my central air. Good guy, good work, good price.
We used RICHAIR COMFORT SOLUTIONS in Maspeth, Queens a few years ago. Very happy with the price, their work, and their support. Don’t know anyone else that’s used them.

We have been using Sanyo units for thelast three years, and they have been pretty good.
It doesn’t make sense why separate units would be cheaper, it would seem to be a more involved install. Are you certain that the electrical power to the condensers is apples to apples? Running three shut offs would be more expensive, unless your quotes don’t include that portion.
Depending on the size of the bedrooms, and gravity fed access to drainage, I don’t see why a 33K unit with (3) 12K air handlers shouldn’t be sufficient. Be aware that typically the individual handlers total more than the condenser, as all three usually wouldn’t be calling for cool at the same time.
The big variable is how hard it will be to run the line set to the rooms, the availablity of a good site for the condenser (good luck with locating three condensers), and, as above, the access by gravity to condensate drainage.
