  2. I live in 290 sq. feet very comfortably with a Murphy Bed. When the bed is down, the space is my bedroom, which doesn’t bother anyone, because it’s only me. When it’s up, the space my living, dining and office.
My furniture is small scale: a settee and 2 chairs, that are easy to move when I want to put the bed down. I also have a table that flips and stands, so it takes up very little space when not in use.

When recommending a Murphy Bed to my clients, I remind them that all other furnishings need to function with the bed down as well as up.

Additionally, many of my clients like sleepers with air mattresses. They are very comfortable. Again, it’s important to consider what needs to be moved when the sleeper is folded out.
