We have baseboard heaters in our co-op, and over the past few weeks the usual ticking and mild pipe noise has increased to non-stop, full-blown, wake-the-dead banging. We bled our radiator and there was no air in our unit (just a small stream of water), but there are 8 other units in this building. Are you the only Apt. hearing the noise or is it building wide?
Could be a zone valve gone bad.
