Hey guys, I have to replace a kitchen sink faucet – any discount places around instead of going to HD or Lowes? Any off the path places on 3rd ave, etc? Don’t need anything too high-end, just looking to spend a few hundred. Thanks!

  1. I second the Park Slope Plumbing Supply recommendation – we’ve bought six fixtures from them so far and they’ve always done well by us in terms of price.

  2. I’m a little late with this post, but we have found a number of plumbing supply internet sites that are good sources for closeouts. For others doing research, here they are:

    http://www.dealyard.com
    http://www.overstock.com
    http://www.overstockdeals.com

We also had a great experience buying a number of fixtures from park slope plumbing supply, but sometimes you can save a lot of money (bought a $500 faucet for $150) on closeouts if you are lucky and can wait for shipping etc.

    Good luck.
    Vin

  3. You can try Park Slope Plumbing Supply on 5th. Ave. See Lisanne in the showroom. You may pay a little more, but it’s nice to get the personal attention and help!!

  4. Hi Mopar, we actually just got one for 200 at Lowes – I’ve seen some for 500-700, waaaaay out of my range, and wasn’t sure what something non-basic ran. That’s all. BTW – my dream is to have a farmhouse sink, but our kitchen is tiny and at an angle so I’ll have to wait til the next one. Enjoy yours, they really are something.

  5. A few hundred?! That is pretty high end.

I found a nice, plain American Standard faucet that matched our 30s farmhouse sink on Amazon. It cost $150.
