circulating pump runs almost constantly
I have a hot air heating system installed in my house about 4 years ago. I also have a wood stove going all the time. Does anyone know why the circulating pump runs almost continuously when the thermostat is set on auto.

Strange post. No idea what’s going on over there.
The key word here is ‘Pump’ on a scorched hot air system?
FWIW the fan on my furnace only runs when the heat is on.
What circulating pump? Do you mean the fan? Is there hot air blowing out of your grilles? Maybe the wood stove is not bringing the room temp up to the setpoint on your t-stat and the forced air system is working too?
In any case shouldn’t the fan be running regardless to provide air circulation? I am not sure about this one. More info please…
