I’m in the market for a new gas boiler (steam heat) and the boiler guys I’m working with now have recommended a Pennco boiler, removal of old boiler and all installation for $7800. I’ve researched Pennco a little and haven’t found much. Looks like they were perceived as low-end years ago but have since been bought by an another company.

Are they are reputable boiler company? Anyone have any insight here?

  2. Yes, Pennco is a low-end, builder’s grade boiler.
It is now a part of the company that makes the other low-end, builder’s grade boilers: Dunkirk and Utica.
The company is represented in our part of the country by a company called Dellon Sales, which handles very few other heating products, but mostly plumbing fittings and fixtures.

I can’t comment on the price so much, but know that you don’t get what you don’t pay for.
