I’m in the market for a new gas boiler (steam heat) and the boiler guys I’m working with now have recommended a Pennco boiler, removal of old boiler and all installation for $7800. I’ve researched Pennco a little and haven’t found much. Looks like they were perceived as low-end years ago but have since been bought by an another company.
Are they are reputable boiler company? Anyone have any insight here?
Go to world wide plumbing supply, i just came from there, the where a great help with there knowledge and good pricing the carry the weil-mclain line, the also have condensing boilers.

Just spend a few extra bucks and get the Burnham. Looks like your paying big bucks for the install and labor anyway.
My go to brand for sectionals is Burnham.

Yes, Pennco is a low-end, builder’s grade boiler.
It is now a part of the company that makes the other low-end, builder’s grade boilers: Dunkirk and Utica.
The company is represented in our part of the country by a company called Dellon Sales, which handles very few other heating products, but mostly plumbing fittings and fixtures.
I can’t comment on the price so much, but know that you don’t get what you don’t pay for.
