I paid a premium for a ventilating Velux that does not vent anything. Furthermore in no time the glass/frame seal failed and it leaked big time. Velux is crap. My Ultradome skylights have not leaked but I paid a premium for a powder coated, no maintenance exterior finish that started peeling after 2 years. I have had no problem with a large brand X skylight that was relatively economical.
