I Need a New Heating Oil Company
I need a new heating oil company asap. I was with Patterson Energy Group, which recently bought out my old company, and they just dumped me, with no notice, for not being rich enough. A full service company would be nice. Thanks.

Doing the NYPIRG thing is probably the wisest choice price wise.
But we needed an installer, so we went with Nu-Lite of Maspeth, and are very happy with their work and service. They are also good plumbers.
It’s awfully hard to compare the price of the oil. It seems fairly expensive, about $120 more per month than our last place (which was gas & hot water), but then again maybe it’s really cheap because our windows are so bad, we might as well heat the house with them wide open. So I really don’t know about the cost.
Try Bell Fuel Oil as well. I ended up replacing my oil boiler with a gas system. When I used Bell, they were really great service-wise.

we used petro for years and the service was great. then we went to gas… but I’d third the recommendation for petro.
We use Petro. A bit pricey and if you call them they will tell you they are pricey but that it is about service with them.

I used a company assigned by the NYPIRG fuel coop and saved alot of money. Their office was in lower Manhattan and the membership was about $25.00 per year. It’s definitely worth checking out.

The last time this happen I was late getting home and found the Petro guy waiting for me, asleep in his van in front of my house; had it been anyone else and they left, I’d have had no heat that night.
