Good Dry Cleaner/Tailor in Park Slope?
We just moved to the area, and are looking for a good dry cleaner– mostly for mens dress shirts, but also for the occasional hem/adjustment. Anyone have a good reliable and not expensive suggestion? Thanks!

If you are willing to come really south, try the dry cleaner/tailor on the west side of 5th Ave between 17th and 18th Streets. All work is done on the premises – an important factor to me because if something ever gets effed up (never has with them) I like to know who to blame and not chase down some random cleaning conglomerate the place ships things out to. The people who own it/work there are really nice and I’ve had several business suits tailored there and take all my cleaning there.
I like Randex on 6th Ave and 5th Street. They use all natural/organic cleaners and do a nice job with alterations (I am kind of picky because I can sew)so it’s worth the few extra dollars and longer walk for me.
We have used Carroll Cleaners on 7th Ave between Garfield and Carroll for both cleaning and tailoring. They are great.
thanks! we’re a little further south, so unfortunately I don’t think that’ll work for us… any other suggestions?
welcome to the nabe! depends on where u live. i take my work shirts to get washed/pressed once a week at the place by my apt, i’ve never had a problem with them, and have always been pleased. the owner is a very nice and funny guy. i also drop off my laundry (by the pound) and they will match socks and all.
