I second the Ikea dignitet setup.
We did this in our current apartment with stuff from Ikea and it worked great, we just used their wire system:

i recommend some kind of track system. rods would not look great. i just used the shade store (in soho) for drapes and they have some traverse-style drapery systems that would work for room dividers. they have a local installer that will measure and install. try:
