Has anyone had any dealings with these GCs? Would like to know your experience with them, reliability, fairness, etc.

  1. @downtownbklady Mary, thanks for the advice. I will be sure to pin down the rep at Gotham when I have all my other bids in.
@miamigirl Thanks for the referral to Rob. I will be meeting with him tomorrow.

  2. If you’re doing a larger scale renovation call the company I used for my gut renovation bullfrog builders (bullfrogny.com) Although they weren’t the cheapest bid I got they were by far worth every penny. Ask for Constantine and tell him Mary referred you. If you’re project is smaller in scale let me know the specifics and I may be able to recommend some individual tradesmen. Good luck.

  3. Hovey off topic beautiful artwork that you’ve created.

On the topic of your post I had limited dealings with Gotham so I hate to badmouth them but they were one of the contractor’s that I got a bid from prior to undertaking my renovation. I did not go with them because there seemed to be too much double talk from their representative. There seemed to be too much of a “don’t worry about it” attitude whenever I asked for a detailed answer. They did not instill the confidence that I would have hoped for on a large renovation plus the fact they they subcontracted alot of their work was something I was not keen on dealing with. If you’re starting a project of any substantial size I think there are much better general contractors out there. Good luck with the renovation and let me know if you need any reccomendations.
