Hey All,
We’ve finally started our big kitchen renovation and we’re having trouble sourcing good quality hardware for the cabinets.
I’ve looked online but haven’t found anywhere with a great selection. Was wondering if anyone knew of a local shop that specializes in hardware–we don’t want to go the Home Depot route.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Best,

I was recently sourcing replacement euro hinges for a client, and we were going to order online. However, they were a few dollars less each at Simon’s.
Simon’s or Gracious Home. You have to see and feel it to get a sense of the quality. Don’t go for the cheap!
Design Source is huge. I looked a lot of places. Ordered maybe 10 samples online and chose from them. I bought from Homeclick. Hardware Hut also has a lot of brand names. 23rd St HD has big selection too.
Blueman on Bowery has some hard-to-find items, particularly if you’re want a mod / euro look
Dave Sanders Design Source at 115 Bowery. They have a ton of stuff and great customer service.
Home and Stone (Coney Island Ave)
And in Manhattan. . .
The Brass Center (a huge online AND brick & mortar source)
Gracious Home
Restoration Hardware
Simons
Simon’s is good, but then you’ve got to deal with the staff.
I use EverReady. They have a showroom in LIC Queens. http://www.evereadyhardware.net/
