I have a very small apartment and I would like to have a breakfast nook built. I have some ideas but am looking for a carpenter who can offer some design advice as well as the actual physical work. please post any recommendations!

  1. I am a residential carpenter. I was trained as a wooden boatbuilder at the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding in Pt. Townsend, WA, and the Wooden Boat Foundation in Brookline, ME. I have excellent local references. I would love to talk with you regarding your breakfast nook. I like designing for small spaces. Reminds me of boat cabins.

  2. I HIGHLY recommend Hans Gullickson. He’s a skilled & artistic carpenter and he’s currently working on a custom-built media center with a plasma mount for me (based on the Muro unit that DWR sells, but for a much better price!). His prices are very reasonable, his ideas are great and his work is excellent. He’s been an absolute pleasure to work with and I am looking forward to future projects with him as we have quite a few custom solutions we’d like to implement in our studio to better utilize our space.

    His website is:
