Anyone have a source for counter top material such as Corian, Silestone, Cesarstone etc that is cheaper (and hopefully more pleasant to deal with) than the big box stores?

  1. We got our Silestone counter top for our kitchen reno in 2006 from Granite Concepts in NJ.
http://granite-concepts.com/estimate.html. We already knew what we wanted so everything was done by phone and email. We didn’t need to visit the showroom at all since Silestone (unlike granite) has a consistent appearance. They did the installation as well. Price-wise, we ended up getting 15 sq ft @ $85.00 per sq.ft for the Black Leather Silestone countertop + about $300 for the sink cutout and the D-shaped sink. There was another $150 surcharge because the minimum order is supposed to be 25sq – but we went with butcher block for the other counter top, so our order fell short of the minimum. FWIW, the quotes we got from Home Depot and Lowes for comparison, for the same material and finish, was a lot more $$.
