Getting bids for our all metal deck, and really liked Lopopolo iron works. Anybody worked with them? How were they?

  1. I got estimates from Ricardo (718-499-1153), Bay Ridge Ironworks, and Manny who works with Sketch and Hammer. I liked them all, but Lopopolo was cheaper and had all the necessary paperwork (tracking number, insurance etc).

Just gave them a deposit, will have it done in a few weeks and will post. I’m nervous! Haven’t decided whether it should just be simple or slightly more decorative. Not many people seem to have only metal on their decks.

  2. I’m also looking to build a metal deck. Spoke to Lopopolo and got an estimate from them. I also liked them a lot, but I need more estimates. Could you post the names of the other guys you’ve gotten estimates from? Thanks. Big help.

  3. I had good and bad experiences with Lopololo many years ago so I’m not sure how he is now. Check out artistic iron works. He does beautiful work and delivers on time. He will make anything that you want-just give him a photo or design. He made a beautiful wrought iron fence for our porch from a photo that I gave him. Ask for Augustine.

  4. They did a metal deck for me. I was very happy with their service and price. I may have posted their name on this forum a couple years ago.
