Need Iron Gate for Under Stoop
Where can I find one of these? How much should I expect to pay? Does anyone know someone I can call who could come out to give me an estimate and who could also install it? Used gate is fine. Thanks!

There are many iron workers in all areas, just look through your local phone book, ring a few companies and you can get some quotes.
You can also try Reid Antiques on Malcolm X Blvd at Hancock/Halsey. Mr. Barber is very nice and has a whole lot full of old house parts, fences, gates, railings. Then Ricardo Ironworks, Third Ave at about 13th Street, can rehab and install it.
If you want to go new, may I recommend Kaufman Ironworks. We have used them for 2 projects now, they do exactly what they say they will, on time, for the price they quote, and its done right.

Vinca is right. I saw a couple of them at NY Old Iron (next to Lowes) a few weeks ago. Bring measurements and a picture and talk with Roy Vaccaro.
Take measurements and stop by the iron salvage place on 9th Street in the Lowe’s parking lot. He might have a used gate that fits.
Contact an ironworker, someone who installs grates, metal doors, etc. You may see one in your area. The ones in industrial areas such as along Broadway, Flushing Ave., etc., seem to be cheaper.
