Low Voltage Bulbs are Humming

Just had a bendable track system put in with three pendants hanging and 3 art spots. Highest quality low voltage dimmer installed. The mr16 bulbs used in the art spots (Sylvania 37w) buzz and hum like crazy (not the transformer; not the dimmer…the bulbs). Based on what I could find so far, I tried a lower watt bulb (20w) by GE. Buzz was significantly less, but so was the light….too dim for the art. Tried the 35w by GE and the buzz is better than the Sylvania brand, but still there, and still unacceptable. Anyone have luck with a particular brand of bulb? Any other solutions? I understand what is happening and why it is happening…I just don’t know how to fix it! Arrghhh! 🙂
Is it the bulb or transformer that is humming? The transformer may be housed in the portion of the track that attaches to the ceiling power source. So you may think it’s the bulb when in fact, it’s the transformer.
I had a similar track installed in my previous apartment and the dealer where I purchased the track said on occasion, low-voltage transformers will hum depending on the wiring and location of the transformer.
Check to see if it was installed properly, grounded properly, etc.
Maybe the people at Bulb World could be of help. As the name implies they are lightbulb specialists. I’d go to the showroom as opposed to asking over the phone since they have a lot of them lit in various fixtures.
