The TR-1 forms will aparently be changed in July with energy code compliance inspections for residential and another for commercial buildings to be added on as progress inspection.

  1. The actual change is because untill now it was only a state issue but now that it is a city issue they are adding on to controlled inspections with all applicable guidelines. The actual modificationof the code is 25 pages under the draft.

  2. Interesting, is the energy code compliance a mandatory field for residential TR-1’s? They’ve already started asking for the compliance statements on the drawing set itself.

    I would guess that it’s not mandatory as the lion’s share of filings are under the new building / 50% construction of the building threshold for scope of work. But you never know with them.
